APSC CCE Eligibility 2026: Check Age, Education Qualification
APSC CCE 2026 Eligibility criteria are set by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) and depend on different parameters like age factor, educational qualification, etc. Candidates aged between 21 and 38 years (with age relaxation granted for the reserved category candidates), holding a Bachelor’s Degree and having proficiency in the Assamese language, are eligible for APSC 2026 exam. Any candidate found to be ineligible at any stage will be disqualified immediately. Candidates must note that the admit card does not assure their eligibility.
APSC CCE Nationality Criteria 2026
APSC CCE 2026 Nationality Criteria allows Indian Citizens to apply for APSC CCE 2026 exam. Non-Indians are not eligible to apply for this post. Candidates must be native inhabitants of Assam and must speak Assamese or any other official language of the state.

APSC CCE Educational Qualification 2026
APSC 2026 Educational Qualifications are as follows:
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute of India.
- Degrees obtained from foreign universities must be recognized by the Government of India.
- Students in the appearing year can also apply only if the result is declared before APSC CCE Mains 2026.
APSC CCE Language 2026
- It is mandatory to be proficient in the Assamese language. OR
- Candidates must be proficient in any Official language of Assam. OR
- Candidates must be proficient in any recognized Tribal language of Assam.
- This condition is included in APSC CCE because selected candidates are required to be communicative in administrative work and with locals.
Candidates must complete their degree programs before APSC CCE Mains 2026. Any discrepancies found in the official document at any stage will lead to disqualification from the recruitment process. It is mandatory to fulfill all the required eligibility criteria to apply for APSC CCE 2026, including language proficiency.

Ans: Yes. Non-Assamese-speaking candidates can apply for APSC CCE 2026 as there will be no compulsory Assamese language exam. However, it is important to know Assamese or any other official language to fulfill administrative duties.
Ques: Can students from open universities also apply for APSC 2026?
Ans: Yes. Candidates from open universities are also eligible to apply for APSC CCE 2026 exam. The Open University must be a UGC-recognized university in India.
Ques: Is there any attempt limit for APSC 2026 exam?
Ans: No. There are no limits on the number of attempts as long as the candidate meets the eligibility criteria for APSC 2026 Exam. Eligibility depends upon Age, Educational Qualification, and Nationality criteria set by APSC.
