Ques: Is UKSSSC a central government recruitment body?
Ans: No, UKSSSC is organized by the Uttarakhand state government aiming to hire applicants for non-gazetted posts (meaning officers that fall under sectors III and IV) in the Uttarakhand government sector, and hence it is not a Central Government job.
Ques: Is there negative marking in UKSSSC?
Ans: The written test will carry 100 marks in total. Each correct answer carries 1 mark. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer and no marks for every unanswered question.
Ques: Can other State candidates apply for UKSSSC Recruitment 2026?
Ans: The vacancies under Class-III and Class-IV can be filled only by local residents of Uttarakhand, and therefore applicants outside of the state cannot apply as a domicile certificate showing the candidate's residence in Uttarakhand for at least 15 years is asked to submit at the time of application. Applicants that do not satisfy this eligibility can be rejected.
Ques: How many attempts can one take for the UKSSSC Recruitment 2026?
Ans: The UKSSSC allows candidates to attempt the exam how many ever times they want from the minimum age of eligibility (18-21) until they reach the maximum of 42 years old. This is applicable to all the posts and categories (general and reserved). However, the candidates must meet all of the eligibility criteria for the post they are applying for to be able to qualify.
Ques: Can the data filled in the application form be edited if filled incorrectly?
Ans: No. UKSSSC does not allow editing the data if once filled wrong and incorrect data can create serious problems during the exam. Thus, the candidates are requested to fill each and every detail correctly and cross-check the form after filling it.
Ques: Can I pay the application fee using the bank challan?
Ans. No, the complete application process is online and the fees have to be paid using Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card only. Offline payment mode is not there.
Ques: What are the qualifying marks for UKSSSC Exam?
Ans: Candidates must obtain minimum qualifying marks to clear the written exam. The Commission has specified 45% marks for General and OBC candidates and 35% marks for SC, ST candidates as the minimum qualifying marks for the recruitment.
