India secured the silver medal in the women’s 50m rifle 3P team event at the Asian Games 2026. Tilottama Sen, Vidarsa Vinod Kochalumkal and Ashi Chouksey together scored 1763 points in qualification. China took gold with 1773 points, while Kazakhstan won bronze with 1754 points. Two Indian shooters also reached the individual final.

China won by 10 points. The team score is the sum of the scores of the three shooters across the kneeling, prone and standing positions. The 1773-point tally was also an Asian Games record, according to the report.

Individual Qualification

Tilottama Sen scored 590 and ranked third, qualifying for the individual final.
Vidarsa Vinod Kochalumkal recovered from a weak start in the kneeling position to score 588 and finish sixth, also making the final.
Ashi Chouksey scored 585 and ranked fifteenth, missing the final, but her score counted towards India’s team silver.

China’s Han Jiayu topped the individual qualification with 594 points.

About the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Event

Shooters compete in three positions: kneeling, prone and standing. Qualification has 20 shots in each position, so each shooter fires 60 shots in all. The event is part of the ISSF rifle programme, and the International Shooting Sport Federation governs its rules and results.
