Crucial Factors for Early Life
- UV Protection: Early Earth lacked a substantial ozone layer, making surfaces highly exposed to ultraviolet (UV) radiation. A protective shield, possibly provided by deep water or atmospheric composition, was necessary to shield nascent life forms from harmful UV rays.
- Water Availability: Liquid water is essential as a universal solvent, facilitating the biochemical reactions necessary for life. Its presence was a fundamental requirement for the origin and evolution of early life.
