Human development is a broad field that studies how people change and grow throughout their lives. It examines the biological, psychological, and social changes that occur from conception until death. Understanding these changes helps us appreciate the complexities of the human life cycle.

Physical, Social, and Cognitive Domains

Experts generally categorize human development into three primary domains, which represent the major aspects of change and growth:

• Physical Development: This area involves changes in the body's structure and function. It includes growth in height and weight, development of the brain and nervous system, improvements in motor skills (both gross motor skills like walking and fine motor skills like writing), and hormonal changes during puberty. Health and physical capabilities also fall under this domain.
• Social Development: This domain focuses on how individuals interact with others and develop relationships.
