What type of process is thinking ?
Cognitive
Psychology treats thinking as a mental activity in which a learner works upon images, signs, language and generalised ideas in order to reach a conclusion or to solve a problem. Because it deals with gaining, storing and using knowledge, it is placed among the knowing processes.
Mental life is usually sorted into three broad groups: knowing, feeling and willing. Perception, memory, imagination, reasoning and thinking all belong to the first of these groups, since each of them handles meaning and information rather than emotion or action.
A process of the social kind would need interaction between two or more persons, a bodily process would involve growth and movement of the organs, and a doing process would mean actual work carried out with the hands. Thinking can go on silently within a learner without any of these three, so none of them states its real nature.
Cognitive option is correct.
