Three business partners, A, B, and C, agree to divide their total profit for a certain year in the ratios 3 : 4 : 5. If B's share was ₹24,000, what was the total profit of the business partners for the year?

RRB Group D 2025 Question Paper (9-Aug-2026) (Shift 1)
The correct answer is

₹72,000

Let the shares of A, B, C be 3x, 4x and 5x. B's share is 4x = ₹24,000, so x = ₹6,000.

Total profit = (3 + 4 + 5) x = 12x = 12 × 6,000 = ₹72,000.

Hence, the answer is ₹72,000.
