The International Day of Yoga is celebrated every year on June 21st to raise awareness about the numerous benefits of practicing yoga. The 6th edition of this global celebration took place in 2020.
The year 2020 presented unique global challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Social distancing measures and lockdowns became the norm worldwide. In response to these circumstances, the theme for the 6th International Day of Yoga-2020 was chosen to encourage people to practice yoga safely within their homes and communities.
