Question

Select the set in which the numbers are related in the same way as are the numbers of the following sets.
(NOTE : Operations should be performed on the whole numbers, without breaking down the numbers into their constituent digits. E.g. 13 – Operations on 13 such as adding / subtracting / multiplying etc. to 13 can be performed. Breaking down 13 into 1 and 3 and then performing mathematical operations on 1 and 3 is not allowed.)

(20, 46, 2)
(32, 136, 24)

The correct answer is
(6, 42, 10)

Find the pattern:

(20, 46, 2)
20 × 2 = 40 → 40 + (2 × 3) = 46

(32, 136, 24)
32 × 2 = 64 → 64 + (24 × 3) = 64 + 72 = 136

So rule:
second = (first × 2) + (third × 3)

Check option: (6, 42, 10)
6 × 2 = 12 → 12 + (10 × 3) = 12 + 30 = 42 ✅

Correct Answer: (6, 42, 10)

    (NOTE – A two/three-digit number cannot be broken into individual digits for operations, e.g., if 37 is followed by 10, the operation cannot be 3+7 as a two-digit number cannot be broken into individual digits.)
