The scope of Industrial Relations (IR) can appear unclear or "cemouflaged" due to several converging reasons. These factors limit a comprehensive understanding and application of IR principles across diverse contexts.

• Language Barriers: Differences in language across regions and countries create obstacles in sharing research, understanding local practices, and developing globally consistent IR frameworks.
• Lack of Resources: Insufficient access to essential resources, including data, academic literature, funding for research, and effective communication channels, hinders the exploration and dissemination of IR knowledge.
• Dominance of Western Knowledge: Many established IR theories and models originate from Western contexts. Their prevalence can overshadow or inadequately represent the unique IR dynamics in non-Western societies, thus masking the true breadth of the field.
