Joseph visits the club on every 5 th day, Harsh visits on every 24 th day, while Sumit visits on every 9 th day. If all three of them met at the club on a Sunday, then on which day will all three of them meet again?

The correct answer is

Wednesday

Given:

Joseph visits the club on every 5th day ,

Harsh visits the club on every 24 th  day and

Sumit visits the club on every 9th  day .

All three of them met at the club on a  Sunday.

Calculation:

Taking LCM of their visiting intervals

3 |  5, 24, 9

5, 8, 3

⇒ LCM = 3 × 5 × 8 × 3 = 360

⇒ All three will meet 360 th  day.

Now as 1 st  time they meet is on Sunday which occurs after every 7 days.

⇒  360 = 51 × 7 + 3 

⇒ 357 th  day will be Sunday and hence, 360 th  day will be on  Wednesday.

So, option 2 is correct.
