Identifying CDP Types

The primary classification identifies three distinct types of Community Development Programmes:

• Integrative type: These programmes aim to bring together various aspects of community life (social, economic, cultural) for holistic development.
• Adaptive type: These programmes focus on helping communities adapt to changing circumstances, environments, or technologies, often emphasizing skill-building and resilience.
• Project type: These programmes are typically focused on specific, time-bound goals or interventions within the community, such as building infrastructure, improving health services, or implementing an agricultural scheme.

Therefore, the three categories are Integrative type, Adaptive type, and Project type.
