How to Apply for TG POLYCET 2026: Online and at TS Online Centres

TG POLYCET offers two ways to register: online through the official portal, or in person at the nearest TS Online Centre or Coordinating Centre of a polytechnic college. This dual-mode option is useful for candidates in rural areas who may not have reliable internet access at home. The application process is the same regardless of which mode is used.

Online registration (at polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in):

• Step 1: Visit polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in and click 'Registration'.
• Step 2: Enter your name, mobile number, and email ID. Set a password. An OTP is sent to the mobile for verification.
• Step 3: After verification, a registration number and password are sent to the mobile and email. Save these for all future logins.
• Step 4: Log in and click 'Pay Now'. Select the payment method and pay the registration fee. A Payment Reference ID is generated.
• Step 5: After payment, click 'Click here to proceed to enter application' to open the form.
• Step 6: Fill in personal details, communication details, category, place of study (municipality/corporation or rural area during SSC), and select three districts and mandals in order of preference for the exam centre.
• Step 7: Upload a scanned colour passport-size photograph (JPEG, less than 30 KB) and a signature (JPEG, less than 15 KB).
• Step 8: Verify all details and click 'Submit'. A hall ticket number is generated.

TG POLYCET 2026 Exam Format: Offline OMR-Based Test

While many state-level entrance exams have shifted to computer-based testing, TG POLYCET continues to use the offline OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) format. Candidates receive a printed question paper and an OMR response sheet. Answers are marked by darkening the correct bubble on the OMR sheet using a pen. The test runs for 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes) in a single session. The question paper is available in English and Telugu.
