MET 2026 result does not arrive as one document. Candidates who sat for MET first see a plain score, with the actual rank following separately, later. This has already happened twice this cycle, once for Phase 1 in April and again for Phase 2 in May. Seat allotment for MET 2026 is currently in its third round.
MET 2026 decides B.Tech and other undergraduate seats across four MAHE campuses through one shared entrance test, run in two separate phases. The table below gathers the core facts before the sections that follow go deeper into each.
| Particular | Detail |
|---|---|
| Exam Name | Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2026 |
| Conducting Body | Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) |
| Phase 1 Exam | 13 and 14 April 2026 |
| Phase 2 Exam | 23 and 24 May 2026 |
| Result Format | Score released first, rank issued separately afterwards |
| Current Stage | Round 3 seat allotment |
| Official Website | manipal.edu |
MET 2026 does not tell a candidate their rank the moment the score is out, unlike most exams covered on this site. A second, later step decides that instead.
MET 2026 gives candidates two separate windows to attempt the exam, not one single fixed date. The table below sets both side by side.
| Event | Phase 1 | Phase 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Exam Dates | 13 to 14 April 2026 | 23 to 24 May 2026 |
| Score Declared | 16 April 2026 | 26 May 2026 |
A candidate can attempt either phase, or both, and the better of the two scores can be used when the final rank is calculated. This makes Phase 2 a genuine second chance rather than a completely separate, unrelated exam cycle.
MET 2026 score sits behind a candidate login, not a public roll-number page.
MAHE also sends the score notification directly by email and SMS. Candidates do not have to keep refreshing the login page to know when it is out.
MET 2026 scorecard reports section-wise performance, not just one final number, so a candidate can see exactly where marks were gained or lost.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Candidate Details | Name, application number and phase attempted |
| Subject wise Marks | Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English scores |
| Total Score | Combined score out of 240, based on +4 for a correct answer and -1 for a wrong one |
| Rank | Added only later, once the merit list stage is reached |
MET 2026 rank is not decided by the entrance score alone. Class 12 performance carries an equal share.
MET 2026 has moved well past the result stage by now. Counselling is running its third round already.
MET 2026 treats a declared score as final once released. MAHE does not run an open rechecking process for this exam.
A handful of details from this cycle are easy to miss but still matter at this stage.
MET 2026 rank is not tied to just one institute. The same rank can be used across any of four separate campuses, each with its own seat count and closing ranks.
| Campus | Note |
|---|---|
| Manipal Institute of Technology | Main campus, Manipal, generally the most competitive for popular branches |
| MIT Bengaluru | Bengaluru campus under the same MAHE umbrella |
| Manipal University Jaipur | Jaipur campus, part of the same counselling process |
| Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology | Sikkim campus, also included under the shared MET rank |
A candidate ranked too far down for a branch at the main Manipal campus may still find the same branch open at one of the other three campuses, since seat counts and closing ranks differ meaningfully between them.
MET 2026 result comes from Manipal Academy of Higher Education itself, a private deemed university group rather than a state or national testing body. This is also why MET does not follow government reservation categories the way a state entrance exam would. It instead uses its own campus and branch based seat structure across Manipal, Bengaluru, Jaipur and Sikkim. Each campus runs its own version of popular branches such as Computer Science. A candidate's rank can open different options depending on which campus they are willing to consider.

Ans: Yes. A candidate who appears in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 can have the better of the two scores considered for the final rank.

Ans: Yes. Counselling has already reached Round 3, with a further round expected only if seats remain vacant after this round is complete.

Ans: No. MAHE is a private deemed university group, so MET follows its own campus and branch based process rather than government reservation categories.
Ques: Can a candidate request MAHE to recheck their MET 2026 score?
Ans: No. There is no formal rechecking process. Candidates are advised to verify their scorecard carefully as soon as it is released instead.
