TS ICET 2026 Syllabus for MBA vs MCA Applicants

TS ICET eligibility differs between the two courses, even though the entrance syllabus remains identical. MBA applicants need a bachelor's degree of at least three years in any stream, while MCA applicants need Mathematics at Class 12 or graduation level as part of their qualifying degree.

This is worth noting because a strong TS ICET score alone does not guarantee MCA eligibility if the Mathematics requirement is not met at some stage of a candidate's education, regardless of how well they score in the Mathematical Ability section itself.

TS ICET 2026: No Sectional Time Limit

TS ICET does not lock candidates into a fixed time per section, unlike several other management and engineering entrance exams that force a section to close after a set number of minutes. Candidates should still build a rough time budget in advance, since unlimited flexibility can also lead to overspending time on one section and running short on another without a fixed sectional cutoff to force a switch.

TS ICET 2026 Qualifying Cutoff for Counselling

Clearing the syllabus content is not enough, a candidate also needs to clear a minimum qualifying score to enter counselling. Unreserved category candidates need at least 25% of the total score, 50 out of 200 marks, while reserved category candidates have no minimum qualifying score at all.
