AIBE 22 result will not be published as a roll number PDF. In the last cycle, BCI's result notice asked candidates to log in to the AIBE portal with their User ID and Password, and the same portal is being used for AIBE XXII.
AIBE result does not show a rank. It shows a status, and some statuses need extra action from the candidate. The statuses below are the ones named in BCI's official notices and press releases.
| Status | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Qualified / Pass | Candidate has scored the qualifying mark for their category |
| Pass (Undertaking) | Candidate qualified after appearing under an undertaking and must upload the Enrolment Certificate |
| Withheld | Result kept on hold, for example, pending documents; Enrolment Certificate upload may be needed |
| Not Qualified | Candidate scored below the qualifying mark |
| Malpractice Decision Pending | Result kept aside until BCI decides the malpractice case |
BCI's AIBE XXII schedule in the 18 July 2026 press release does not separately mention the pass mark. For AIBE XXI, BCI's schedule notice fixed it as below, and the Monitoring Committee later reduced it by 3 marks after reviewing the paper.
| Category | Notified Pass Mark (AIBE XXI) | Final After Moderation (AIBE XXI) | AIBE XXII |
|---|---|---|---|
| General and OBC | 45 percent | 42 marks | Awaited |
| SC, ST and Specially Abled (PwD) | 40 percent | 37 marks | Awaited |
Any moderation for AIBE XXII, if made, will be announced by BCI only with the result. A detailed cutoff analysis is part of the separate AIBE Cutoff article.
AIBE recent cycles show how the pass percentage and the result base have moved. Both columns come from BCI's official press releases and give AIBE 22 candidates a realistic benchmark.

AIBE result can be rechecked. For both AIBE XX and AIBE XXI, BCI opened an online OMR rechecking window after the result. AIBE XXII rechecking dates will be notified after the result; the last cycle's rules are given below for reference.
| Rechecking Detail | AIBE XXI (Last Cycle) |
|---|---|
| Window | 28 July 2026 to 4 August 2026 (5:00 PM) |

Objections to answers are a separate step, raised earlier at the provisional answer key stage. In AIBE XXI, the Rs 500 objection fee was refunded only when an objection was found valid.
A large share of AIBE candidates appear as final-year students or under an undertaking. In AIBE XXI, 95,962 of the 1,75,701 candidates were undertaking candidates, so this step matters for most of the batch.
In AIBE exam, some answer sheets are never evaluated because of mistakes made on exam day. These points come from BCI's AIBE XXI examination guidelines; candidates should still read the AIBE XXII guidelines once they are released with the admit card.
AIBE result is valid only if the candidate was eligible to appear. BCI's eligibility clarification on the official website lists who can take AIBE.
| Who Can Apply | Condition |
|---|---|
| LL.B graduates (3 year or 5 year) | Passed from a BCI recognised university or approved college |
| Final year, final semester LL.B students | Must have no backlogs |
| Graduates not enrolled, or who surrendered enrolment | Eligible to apply |
| Students of non-recognised institutions | Not eligible |
AIBE result is declared by the Bar Council of India, the statutory body set up under the Advocates Act, 1961. BCI conducts AIBE as per the Supreme Court's direction in Bar Council of India v. Bonnie Foi Law College and Others, and every advocate enrolled after 2010 must pass it to practise before the courts. The exam is run through Bar Council of India Trust, PEARL FIRST, and each edition carries a Roman numeral, so AIBE XXII is the 22nd edition.
