WBJEE Result 2026 Rank Card, What It Shows

WBJEE Result 2026 rank card carries more than one rank on the same document. A candidate needs to read each field correctly before counselling.

WBJEE Result 2026, GMR and PMR Explained

WBJEE Result 2026 does not use one merit list for every course. Which rank actually matters depends on what a candidate is applying for.

• GMR uses combined marks from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and decides admission to Engineering, Technology and Architecture seats.
• PMR uses only Physics and Chemistry marks from Paper II, and decides most Pharmacy admissions.
• Jadavpur University is the one exception, using GMR for its own Pharmacy seats as well.
• A candidate eligible for both sees both ranks on the same rank card.

WBJEE Result 2026 Tie Breaking Rule

WBJEE Result 2026 settles a shared score through a layered comparison of positive and negative marks before it ever looks at age.

• Fewer combined negative marks across Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry rank a candidate higher.
• If that still matches, more combined positive marks in Mathematics and Physics decide it.
• If that still matches, more combined positive marks in Mathematics and Chemistry decide it.
• If every step above matches, the older candidate is ranked higher, and application number decides any tie left after that.

PMR uses a shorter version of this same idea, comparing Physics marks first and Chemistry marks next. This is because PMR is built from only those two subjects.

WBJEE Result 2026 Cutoff

WBJEE Result 2026 cutoff is a separate figure from GMR or PMR itself. Each college, branch and category sets its own closing rank, released round by round during counselling. A dedicated WBJEE cutoff page carries the full branch wise and college wise closing ranks. This page only confirms that a merit rank and a seat at a specific college are two different milestones.

Can WBJEE Result 2026 Be Rechecked

WBJEE Result 2026 does allow a formal grievance, but only within a very short window right after declaration.

• A grievance must be emailed to info@wbjeeb.in within 24 hours of the result declaration.
• The email needs OMR copies, the rank card, the question booklet number and series code, and a question-wise score calculation attached.
• A physical version of the same grievance is accepted until noon on the next working day.
• Outside this window, WBJEEB treats the declared rank as final.

WBJEE Result 2026 Counselling, Mop-Up Round

WBJEE Result 2026 counselling has already run through two full rounds by the time this stage closes, with a final Mop-Up round now underway.

• Candidates register online and lock choices in order of preferred college and branch.
• Seats are allotted round wise, based on GMR or PMR, category and locked choices.
• An allotted candidate pays the seat acceptance fee and reports to the college within the given deadline.
• The Mop-Up round fills seats still vacant after the first two rounds, open only to candidates who registered earlier.

WBJEE Result 2026 Important Points

A handful of details from WBJEEB's own process are easy to miss but still matter once the rank card is out.

• WBJEE 2026 rank card is not sent by post or email; every candidate downloads it directly from the official website.
• Missing the Round 2 seat acceptance deadline means permanently losing that allotted seat.
• Around 90 percent of WBJEE seats go to West Bengal home state candidates, which affects how outside state candidates should read their own rank.
• Keep more than one printed copy of the rank card, since counselling registration and college reporting both ask for it separately.

About WBJEEB and WBJEE Result 2026

WBJEE Result 2026 comes from the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board, a statutory body under the state's Higher Education Department. WBJEEB has run this exam consistently rather than rotating the conducting authority. This keeps its rank card format and counselling process largely familiar from one year to the next.

WBJEE Result 2026 Marks vs Rank

WBJEE Result 2026 rank depends heavily on where a score falls on the marks scale, and that relationship shifts slightly each year. The table below gives a rough sense of the pattern for General category candidates.

WBJEE Result, Rank Card and Merit List, What Sets Them Apart

Candidates often treat these three WBJEE 2026 terms as one and the same. WBJEEB actually treats them as separate things.

WBJEE Result 2026 stage is now complete, with GMR, PMR and category ranks all confirmed. Counselling is already in its Mop-Up round. A candidate who has cleared a usable rank should focus on that round's own deadlines rather than anything left to check on the rank card itself.
