Positions Available:

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • Number of Positions: 2
  • Qualifications: Candidates must hold an MSc, M.Tech, or ME in Physics, Electronics Science, Applied Physics, Optics, Photonics, Laser Technology, or equivalent fields. A valid NET/GATE score is required, though candidates without it may still apply and will be considered for the role of Project Associate.
  • Desired Skills: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in FPGA programming, DSP with FPGA, optical system design, or hands-on work in optical and communication systems.
  • Stipend: Selected candidates will receive ₹37,000 per month along with 30% HRA.
  • Age Limit: 28 years, with relaxations for SC/ST, OBC, and other eligible categories.
  • Duration: Temporary position for two years or until the project concludes, whichever is earlier.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

  • Number of Positions: 1
  • Qualifications: Candidates must have an MSc, M.Tech, or ME in relevant fields, with at least two years of research or industrial experience in lasers and photonics. A valid NET/GATE score is required.
  • Stipend: ₹42,000 per month with 30% HRA.
  • Age Limit: 30 years, with applicable relaxations for reserved categories.
  • Duration: Temporary position for two years or until the project concludes, whichever is earlier.

Selected candidates will have the opportunity to register for a Ph.D. at DIAT, subject to fulfilling institutional norms.
