CUET 2025 was the first year of the revised exam, conducted by NTA in fully computer based mode from 13 May to 3 June 2025. It changed the exam mode, the number of subjects and the question rules from the earlier pattern. Download the CUET UG 2025 subject papers and answer keys from the table below.
CUET 2025 had the biggest changes since the exam started, announced in December 2024 and applied from this year. These changes matter when you use older papers, because the mode, the subject count and the question rules are different now. The table below compares the old pattern with the new one.
| Feature | Up to 2024 | From 2025 |
|---|---|---|
| Exam mode | Hybrid, CBT and pen and paper for some subjects | Fully computer based (CBT) |
| Questions per subject | 50, with some optional | 50, all compulsory |
| Duration per subject | Varied, 45 to 60 minutes | 60 minutes, uniform |
| Subjects offered | 63 | 37 |
| Maximum subjects | 6 | 5 |
Note: Marking stayed the same, with 5 marks for a correct answer and 1 mark cut for a wrong one.
CUET 2025 was held fully online, with each subject paper of 50 questions in 60 minutes. A candidate could take up to 5 subjects from the 37 on offer, and each subject carried 250 marks. The table below lists the main details of the exam.
| Particulars | Details |
|---|---|
| Conducting body | National Testing Agency (NTA) |
| Exam mode | Computer based test (CBT) |
| Exam dates | 13 May to 3 June 2025 |
| Subjects offered | 37 (13 languages, 23 domain subjects, 1 General Test) |
| Subjects a candidate can take | Up to 5 |
| Questions per subject | 50, all compulsory |
| Duration per subject | 60 minutes |
| Marks per subject | 250 |
| Exam centres | 285 in India and 15 abroad |
CUET 2025 grouped its 37 subjects into three sections, and you picked subjects across them based on your course. Every subject paper had the same format, 50 questions in 60 minutes, so the section only decides which papers you take. The table below shows the three sections.
| Section | Type | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Section IA | Languages | 13 languages, chosen as per your course |
| Section II | Domain subjects | 23 subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology and Accountancy |
| Section III | General Test | 1 paper, for courses with no specific domain subject |
CUET 2025 marking was the same for every subject, so accuracy mattered across all papers. A correct answer added 5 marks and a wrong answer lost 1 mark, while an unattempted question scored zero. With 50 questions, each subject was worth up to 250 marks.
| Response | Marks |
|---|---|
| Correct answer | + 5 |
| Incorrect answer | - 1 |
| Unattempted question | 0 |
CUET UG 2025 answer key came in two stages, a provisional key with an objection window and then a final key. NTA released the final answer key in early July 2025 after reviewing the objections. One point to note this year was the number of questions dropped from scoring.
CUET 2025 reduced its subject list from 63 to 37, so some subjects were no longer offered as separate papers. Candidates who wanted courses tied to the removed subjects were assessed through the General Test instead. The subjects removed for 2025 are listed below.
CUET 2025 let candidates pick subjects with more ease than they did in the previous years. You could choose any subject regardless of your Class 12 stream, as long as it fit the course you wanted. Universities still set their own subject requirements, so the choice needed a check against the course criteria.
CUET UG 2025 result was declared in the last week of July 2025, based on the final answer key. Marks were normalised across shifts using the equipercentile method and then shown as a percentile. Each university used these scores for its own admission and cutoffs.
CUET Previous Year Question Papers help you learn the subject-wise pattern and the type of NCERT-based questions asked. Since the format is now steady after the 2025 changes, solving recent years is useful practice for speed and accuracy under negative marking. Use the year pages below.

Ans: No on-screen calculator is provided for any subject, including Mathematics. All calculations must be performed manually on the rough sheets supplied at the center.

Ans: Since these papers were removed, check if your target university now accepts General Test or other domain scores for admission into those specific courses.
Ques: Is there a limit on the number of times I can download my 2025 response sheet?
Ans: The response sheet is only available for 2–3 days during the objection window. You must download and save the PDF immediately before NTA removes the official link.
