The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board organizes the TNTET exam every year to recruit teachers for primary and upper primary schools of Tamil Nadu. The interested candidates can fill the application form through the online mode that is www.trb.tn.nic.in. As per the released short notice, the TNTET 2021 exam notification will be published on May 4, 2021, at the official website. On the other hand, it can be anticipated that the TNTET 2021 exam will be held in the end week of June 2021.

The Teachers’ Recruitment Board will conduct the TNTET 2021 exam into two parts and these will be Paper I and Paper II. Paper I exam and Paper-II exam will be conducted for recruiting primary teacher and Upper Primary Teacher respectively.

TNTET Eligibility Criteria 2021

Nationality: Only Indian citizens can appear for the TNTET 2021 exam.

Age Group

  • The age group of the aspirants should be between 18 years to 40 years
  • The reserved categories candidates will get age relaxation according to the age limit rules set by the government.

Education Qualification

Paper I:

  • The interested candidates will need to get at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary Exam and need to completed or pursuing in the final year of 2 years Diploma course in Education, Or
  • The candidates should get a minimum of 45% score in higher secondary examination and require to pass or pursue the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education course as per the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Process), Regulations, 2002, Or
  • The aspirants should get at least 50% score in Higher Secondary exam or appear in the final year of 4 years Bachelor in Education (B.El.Ed.) or need to pass the higher secondary examination with 50% marks and should appear final year of 2 years Diploma in Education coursework (Special Education), Or
  • The aspirants should complete or hold their graduation and need to pass or appear in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education, Or
  • The candidates can complete their graduation with at least 50% marks and should appear in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

Paper-II:

  • The aspirants should complete their graduation and need to pass or appear in the final year of two-year Diploma in Education, Or
  • The interested aspirants should get a minimum of 50% marks in Graduation and need to pass or appear in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), Or
  • In Graduation, the candidates need to get at least 45% marks and should pass or appear in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), Or
  • If the candidates will get 50% marks in Higher Secondary exam or if they pass or appear the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Education (B.El.Ed.), Or
  • The candidates have to get 50% in Higher Secondary and should pass or appear in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education), Or
  • If the applicants qualify the B.Ed. program from any of the renowned institutes by the NCTE will be eligible to enroll their names for the exam.

To apply for the TNTET 2021 exam, the aspirants should enroll their names and submit the application through online mode. Read the below-mentioned content to know more about the application form fill up process for the exam.

  • At first, the candidates have to complete their registration from the official website of the Teachers Recruitment Board, Tamil Nadu.
  • For completing the registration process, the aspirants require to provide their valid email id and phone number.
  • Once the registration process will be completed, the aspirants’ will be able to get the access to the TNTET 2021 Application Form.
  • Now the candidates have to provide the necessary details such as complete educational, personal along with contact details (valid email id, phone number).
  • Next, the candidates will have to upload your scanned image of photograph and signature.
  • The scanned copy should be uploaded in the JPEG/JPG/PNG format. In addition, the photograph and signature size should be between 20 KB to 60 Kb and 10 KB to 30 KB respectively.
  • At last, the candidates have to pay the application fees
  • You are advised to take a print out copy of the application form for your future references.

  • The board will publish the TNTET 2021 admit card for those aspirants, who have completed the application fee payment process within the projected deadline.
  • To download the admit card, the candidates have to open the official website of TNTET exam
  • The TNTET 2021 admit card will be issued tentatively in the last week of April 2021.
  • Before download the admit card, the aspirants have to provide the user ID and password while you worked for completing the registration process.
  • The candidates will find the date, time, exam venue highlighted on the admit card
  • Once you download the admit card, you should take a copy of the print out of it.
  • All the aspirants are advised to carry the admit card along with the other essential documents to the exam hall, otherwise, you will not get permission to appease for the exam.

  • The TNTET qualifying certificate will be valid for 7 years.

TNTET Answer Key 2021

TNTET Answer Key and Cut Off 2021

The board will release the TNTET Answer key of both the papers in the official website. The answer key will show the correct answers of the questions asked in the TNTET 2021 exam. Before releasing the final answer key, the tentative answer key will also be published. Hence, the aspirants can cross-check the answers and can raise the objections (if required) after the release of the first answer key.

It can be expected that the TNTET Cut off marks 2021 will be 60% or more approximately for general candidates (that is 90 out of 150). However, the cut-off score will be lower for the reserved category candidates.
