The Staff Selection Commission conducts the national level examination as a single level test for many institutes. Some of these institutions are Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), Assam Rifles (AR) Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). The SSC arranges the Competitive Examination for Stenographer 2021 Grade C and Grade D for group B Non-Gazetted and Group C Non Gazetted positions respectively. The aspirants should visit the official website and need to visit the home page for filling the SSC Stenographer Application Form 2021. Once the aspirants will open the home page, the candidates should click the online form Part 1. Then the candidates can see the application form on the screen. In the next stage, the aspirants will need to provide the correct information in the application form and then submit the application fees. After completing the Registration part 1, the aspirants should start the Registration Part 2 fill up process. The aspirants will get the login credentials to their registered email id and registered Phone number. In the main application form of SSC Stenographer 2021, the candidates need to submit the educational requirements and other contact details. It is noted that the candidates should provide the correct details to the aspirants, otherwise your application will be rejected.

Now the candidates should upload the scanned copy of your photos and signatures. The aspirants are advised to keep a hard copy of the application form. Before applying the SSC Stenographer 2021, the aspirants should read the following eligibility criteria:

Nationality: The following nationalities aspirants are eligible to apply for the SSC Stenographer 2021 exam:

  • Citizen of India, Bhutan and Nepal
  • Tibetan refugee, who have come India only with the intention of settling permanently.
  • The candidates born in India, however migrated to Burma, Pakistan, Easter African countries and Sri Lanka and want to permanently settle in India.

Age Limit:

  • Grade B: 18-30 Years
  • Grade C: 18-27 Years

  • The aspirants should open the official website to download the SSC Stenographer Admit Card 2021.
  • For downloading the admit card, the candidates should submit the Roll Number, Registration ID, Date of Birth and Captcha Code.
  • The aspirants will get all the details like examination schedule, exam date, exam centre and timing.
  • Do not forget to carry the SSC Stenographer Admit Card 2021 to the examination centre, otherwise you will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2021

SSC Stenographer 2021 exam will be categorized into three sections and these are General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language & Comprehension. First two papers will be 50 marks, while the third one will be 100 marks.

Each question will be marked 1. Nonetheless, the aspirants will be deducted 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. To get selected for the SSC Stenographer 2021 exam, the aspirants have to clear the stenography test.

  • For Grade C: Speed should be 80 wpm, while the transcription time should be 50 minutes and 65 minutes for English and Hindi respectively.
  • For Grade D: Speed should be 100 wpm, where the transcription time for English and Hindi will be 40 minutes and 55 minutes respectively.

Section 1 (General Awareness):

  • Names of renowned authors and their written books, Current affairs, Geography, Scientific Research issues, Economic Scenario, History and General Policies.
  • The aspirants have to answer both the verbal and non-verbal type questions.
  • The candidates will face questions from space visualization, problem-solving, spatial orientation, analogies, decision making and similarities & differences, discrimination, visual memory, arithmetic number series, observation, relationship concepts, and figural classifications etc.

Section 2 (General intelligence & Reasoning):

  • The conceptual based questions will be coming from several concepts and topics and these are Number series, pattern folding and unfolding, figural pattern and completion, symbolic operations and analogy, number analogy, semantic series, Venn diagram, symbolic analogy etc.

Section 3 (English Language):

  • This section covers the topics like the Active and passive voice, Direct and indirect conversion, Spellings, Cloze passage, synonyms and antonyms, Phrases and idioms, fill in the blanks, miss spelt words detection, and comprehension passage. On the other hand, the aspirants should have clear knowledge in basic concepts such as Grammar and sentence structure, parts of speech etc.

SSC Stenographer Selection Process 2021

  • According to the performance of the aspirants in the written test and typing test, the selection process will be completed.
  • The Staff Selection Commission will decide the minimum qualifying marks for the entrance test. Nevertheless, based on the age group the candidates will be chosen in case of gerring equivalent score in the entrance test.
  • Though the time duration of the written test is 2 hours, however, the visually handicapped students will get 2 hours and 40 minutes time to complete their exam.
