Staff Selection Commission Stenographer Grade “C” & “D” recruitment examination is conducted every year by Staff Selection Commission. The Staff Selection Commission releases the list of SSC Stenographer Exam Centres along with the notification and SSC Stenographer application form. SSC Stenographer exam (Computer based test) is going to be conducted across 100 cities. During the Application form fill up process, the aspirants can fill their preferences for three cities of appearing the exam. List of SSC Stenographer Examination Centres 2021

Candidates are strictly advised to be very alert and specific while choosing the examination centre. As once the choice has been made no request for the change in the same will be entertained under any circumstances.

  • Only in the very rare case of applicants who are serving in Armed Forces or Central Armed Police Forces and have been posted out of the city due to operational reasons, the change in the exam centre will be entertained.
  • In that case, the applicant is required to submit documentary evidence to the Commission.
  • The Commission holds the right to cancel any Centre and instructs the candidates to appear at some other Centre.

Dos and Don’ts at SSC Stenographer Exam centre

Candidates must abide by all the guidelines and instructions issued by SSC, at the exam centres allocated for SSC Stenographer 2021. Failing to follow these guidelines can lead to the debarment of candidates from appearing in the exam.

Do’s at SSC Stenographer Exam centre

  • It is mandatory for the candidates to bring at least one ID proof i.e. either Adhar card, Voter ID, PAN card, Driving License, or ID issued by Government or the organization where the candidate may be working.
  • Candidates without ID cards shall not be allowed to sit in the examination.
  • Candidates are advised to carry 3 passports sized photographs of the same photograph that was uploaded/ affixed on the application form.
  • The photograph will be affixed to the Commission’s copy of Admission Certificate.
  • Candidates without photographs will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
  • Candidates are instructed to keep at least 10 copies of the same photograph till the completion of the entire examination procedure.

Don’ts at SSC Stenographer Exam centre

  • Candidates are strictly advised to not bring any electronic gadgets inside the examination premises.
  • No candidate is allowed to possess any mode of wireless communication in working or switched off mode, in the examination venue.
  • In any case, if any candidate is found to practice any unauthorized device in the examination will be debarred immediately from the examination for at least a minimum of 3 years.
Steno Unfair Practices

SSC Stenographer Unfair Practices 2021

Candidates are advised not to fill any false information in the application form. It is very important for the candidates to make sure they do not submit any tampered/fabricated documents. If any discrepancy is found in filling the OMR sheet, it will not be evaluated.

Also, immediate debarment of candidature may be done in case any applicant is found indulged in any of the following situations

  • Possession of mobile phones or any means of wireless communication in working or switched off mode in the examination premises.
  • Impersonate any person.
  • Any candidate found submitting fabricated or tampered documents.
  • Giving Incorrect or false information while filling the application form.
  • Use of unfair means inside the examination hall.
  • If any candidate is found misbehaving with the Invigilator, Supervisor or Commission’s representative.
  • Candidates are not allowed to take away the answer sheet out of the examination hall or hand it over to any unauthorized person during the conduct of the examination.
  • Intimidating or doing any physical harm to any staff member appointed by the Commission.
  • If any candidate is found not fulfilling the eligibility conditions as mentioned in the Notice.

Note: - Any dispute regarding the recruitment shall be subject to courts having jurisdiction over the concerned SSC Regional/Sub-Regional Office where the candidates have submitted their applications.

The admit card is released 2 weeks prior to the exam date at ssc.nic.in, which can be downloaded using registration number or roll number. To download the admit card, you need to click the link for the particular exam and after entering roll number press submit.

The SSC Stenographer exam for the session 2021-2022 has not been officially released. The online application for the same will start from the 3rd week of October 2021. The admit card for the examination is issued 15 days prior to the date of examination.

Hi Divakar. Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ Ex-Servicemen, Central Government Employees, and J&K domiciled category gets age relaxation as per the Government of India norms. Candidates belonging to SC/ ST category get age relaxation by 5 years.
