Staff Selection Commission Stenographer Grade “C” & “D” recruitment examination is conducted every year by Staff Selection Commission.

  • Candidates have to enter their preferred choice of examination center while filling up the SSC Stenographer 2020 Application Form.
  • It should be done carefully as no change in the exam center will be entertained.
  • Candidates must carry SSC Stenographer Admit Card and a photo ID proof to the exam center.
  • The Commission reserves the right to transfer any candidate from one center to another center.

List of SSC Stenographer Examination Centres 2020

Candidates are strictly advised to be very alert and specific while choosing the examination center. As once the choice has been made no request for the change in the same will be entertained under any circumstances.

  • Only in the very rare case of applicants who are serving in Armed Forces or Central Armed Police Forces and have been posted out of the city due to operational reasons, the change in the exam center will be entertained. 
  • In that case, the applicant is required to submit documentary evidence to the Commission.
  • The Commission holds the right to cancel any Centre and instructs the candidates to appear at some other Centre.

Dos and Don’ts at SSC Stenographer Exam Center

Candidates must abide by all the guidelines and instructions issued by SSC, at the exam centers allocated for SSC Stenographer 2020. Failing to follow these guidelines can lead to the debarment of candidates from appearing in the exam.

Do’s at SSC Stenographer 2020 Exam Center

  • It is mandatory for the candidates to bring at least one ID proof i.e. either Adhar card, Voter ID, PAN card, Driving License, or ID issued by Government or the organization where the candidate may be working.
  • Candidate without ID card shall not be allowed to sit in the examination.
  • Candidates are advised to carry 3 passports sized photograph of the same photograph that was uploaded/ affixed on the application form.
  • The photograph will be affixed to the Commission’s copy of Admission Certificate.
  • Candidate without photograph will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
  • Candidates are instructed to keep at least 10 copies of the same photograph till the completion of the entire examination procedure.

Don’ts at SSC Stenographer 2020 Exam Center 

  • Candidates are strictly advised to not bring any electronic gadget inside the examination premises.
  • No candidate is allowed to possess any mode of wireless communication in working or switched off mode, in the examination venue.
  • In any case, if any candidate is found to practice any unauthorized device in the examination will be debarred immediately from the examination for at least minimum of 3 years.

SSC Stenographer Unfair Practices 2020

Candidates are advised not to fill any false information in the application form. It is very important for the candidates to make sure they do not submit any tampered/fabricated document. If any discrepancy is found in filling the OMR sheet, it will not be evaluated.

Also, immediate debarment of candidature may be done in case any applicant is found indulged in any of the following situation

  • Possession of mobile phones or any means of wireless communication in working or switched off mode in the examination premises.
  • Impersonate any person.
  • Any candidate found submitting fabricated or tampered document.
  • Giving Incorrect or false information while filling the application form.
  • Use of unfair means inside the examination hall.
  • If any candidate is found misbehaving with the Invigilator, Supervisor or Commission’s representative.
  • Candidates are not allowed to take away the answer sheet out of the examination hall or handing it over to any unauthorized person during the conduct of the examination.
  • Intimidating or doing any physical harm to any staff member appointed by the Commission.
  • If any candidate is found not fulfilling the eligibility conditions as mentioned in the Notice.

Note: - Any dispute regarding the recruitment shall be subject to courts having jurisdiction over the concerned SSC Regional/Sub-Regional Office where the candidates have submitted their applications.
