To get recruited into various departments and ministries of Indian Government, the aspirants should participate and qualify the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) exam. Though the headquarter of Staff Selection Commission is in New Delhi, however, there are seven regional offices and these are in Mumbai, Allahabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Guwahati, and in Chandigarh. Every year, the Staff Selection Commission publishes the notification for junior engineers. These junior engineers will be recruited for multiple posts like mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and civil engineers. Hence, the exams for different streams will be conducted accordingly and separately.

Nationality:

  • Indian Citizen
  • The subject of Bhutan, Subject of Nepal
  • The Tibetan refugee, who had come before 1 Jan 1962 and have the intention of settling in India or,
  • The Indian Citizens, who have migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Malawi, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Zambia, Kenya and want to permanently settle in India.

Age Group:

  • The candidates, who are belonging from the age group of 18 years to 27 years, can apply for the civil, mechanical, surveying contract and quality engineer.
  • If the aspirants want to apply for the CPWD and Central water commission, they need to be less than 32 years old.
  • On the other hand, if the aspirants are willing to appear for the JE, MES, or for CWPRS, they should be less than or equal to 30 years old.
  • All the aspirants should complete their graduation from any renowned university/institution.

Some relaxations of the below mentioned reserved categories aspirants will get in upper age limit:

  • To fill the SSC JE Application Form 2021, the aspirants should open the official website, which is www.ssconline.nic.in or www.ssc.online2.gov. For more information, you can check the official website of SSC JE.
  • The application form fill up process will be started with the registration process on the official website.
  • To complete the registration process, the candidates should submit complete data such as educational, and personal information.
  • Unless the aspirants provide the correct data for the registration process, the candidature of the aspirants will be rejected.
  • In the next step, the candidates will have to upload their scanned copy of passport-sized photo and signature.
  • You should remember that the size of the scanned photograph should not be more than 8 bit and it is uploaded in jpg format. More specifically, the photograph size should be in between 4 kb to 12 kb, while the resolution should be ideally 100/120 pixels.
  • Similarly, the scanned copy of the signature should be uploaded in JPG format and it needs to be 8 bit. In addition, the ideal size should be 1 kb to 12 kb, while the acceptable resolution is 140/160 pixels.
  • At the last stage, the applicants have to pay the application fees.

Payment of Application Fees

  • To pay the amount of SSC JE 2021 exam, the aspirants should pay through the credit card/ debit card or through net banking/BHIM UPI/ VISA Mastercard/ Maestro. Apart from this, the aspirants can pay the amount through offline (e-challan).
  • OBC/General students have to pay Rs. 100
  • SC/ST/PH/Women (all category)/Ex-servicemen are exempted from the application payment process.

On the exam date, the aspirants have to carry the SSC JE Admit Card 2021 to the examination centre, otherwise, they will not get permission to appear for the exam.

  • The aspirants will not get the admit card to their postal address, the commission will not be obliged to send it to their address. To download the admit card, the candidates have to visit the official website.
  • Before 10-15 days of the exam, the aspirants can issue the SSC JE Admit Card 2021.
  • To download the admit card, the candidates have to provide detailed information like application number, date of birth and password.
  • All the aspirants are suggested to read the guidelines before downloading the admit card.
  • It is better to keep a print out of your admit card for future reference.

Paper 1:

  • It is an objective-based examination, which will be conducted in online mode.
  • The aspirants will have to answer 200 questions, and the total marks of the questions will be 200.
  • Language of the examination: Either in Hindi or English.
  • For every incorrect answer, the aspirants will get a deduction of ¼ marks.
  • Paper 1 is subdivided into three sections and these are General Awareness, General Engineering and General Intelligence and Reasoning.

Paper 2:

  • The qualified candidates of Paper 1, only get an opportunity to appear for the Paper 2 test.
  • Pattern of questions: Descriptive.
  • Total allotted marks in paper 2: 300
  • Negative marking is also application in paper 2
  • This paper is contained into three sub parts, such as Part A, Part B and Part C. These are Structural, mechanical and electrical and the aspirants only need to attempt only one from these (according to their posts).

SSC JE Answer Key 2021

The commission will also publish the SSC JE Answer Key 2021. After a few days of the exam, the aspirants can check the answer key from the official website of the SSC. Though SSC will release the answer key officially a few days later of the exam, however, the aspirants can check their answers since the coaching institutes publish the answer keys unofficially. In SSC JE 2021 exam, there will be no sectional cut off score. Hence, the aspirants will need to get the overall cut off score for qualifying the exam. Based on the difficulty level, it can be mentioned that the SSC JE exam is below the ESE exam.
