SEBI Grade A 2020: Exam Centres for Phase-I and Phase-II, Instructions

As per the official notification of SEBI Assistant Manager Recruitment, the organization is going to recruit candidates for several posts such as General Stream, Legal Stream, Information, Technology Stream, Engineering Stream (Civil & Electrical), Research stream, and Official Language Stream. With the notification of SEBI Grade A, the conducting authority already declared a list of probable exam centres among which candidates can choose the preferable exam centres in their application form of SEBI Grade A.   • Candidates can select upto three preferred centres for Phase-I.
  • Candidates are required to mention one centre for Phase-II in the online application.
  • Only qualified candidates will receive a call letter for Phase-II of SEBI Grade A 2020.
  • The venue and time of the exam will be mentioned in Call Letters of Phase-I and Phase-II.
  • The venue of the Interview will be mentioned in the Interview Call Letter which will be given after shortlisting the candidates on the performance in Phase-II exam.

Examination Centres for Phase-I

The following name of centres will be available for all candidates while applying for the Phase-I venue section. Candidates will be required to choose 3 preferred venues. SEBI will allot any one of these centres, as per availability. The candidates will have to be present in the respective centre only and will not be allowed from a different venue for the exam. The decision of SEBI regarding allotment of centre is full and final.

Examination Centres for Phase-II

Candidates will need to mention one choice while applying for the exam. SEBI will not encourage any attempts to change the choice of exam centre after submitting the Application Form of SEBI Grade A 2020. Here is a list of centres for Phase-II:

SEBI Grade A 2020 Exam Centres: Centre Instructions

The examination will be conducted online in the allotted venues mentioned in the call letters. The address of the venue will be provided in the call letter. Here is some instruction that has been specified by SEBI, the conduction body:

  • Candidates are required to indicate the preferred test centre in the application form.
  • SEBI reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and/ or add some other Centres, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc.
  • .As far as possible candidates will be allotted to a centre of his/her choice. However, SEBI reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre (either within the state or outside the state) other than the one he/she has opted for.
  • No request for change of centre/venue/date/ session for Examination shall be entertained.
  • Choice of centre once exercised by the candidate will be final. If the sufficient number of candidates do not opt for a particular centre for "Online" examination, SEBI reserves the right to allot any other adjacent centre to that candidates.
  • OR if the number of candidates is more than the capacity available for online exam for a centre, SEBI reserves the right to allot any other centre (either within the state or outside the state) to the candidate.
  • The candidate will appear for the examination at an examination centre at his/her own risk and expenses and SEBI will not be responsible for any injury or losses etc., of any nature.

FAQs

Ques. Where will I find the results of Phase-I of SEBI Grade A 2020?

Ans. The results will be declared on the official website of SEBI i.e. https://www.sebi.gov.in/ within a few months after the examination of Phase-I of SEBI Grade A 2020.

Ques. What is the medium ofSEBI Grade A 2020?

Ans. All question papers (in both the Phases, except the test of English) will be set bilingually in Hindi and English.

Ques. Will all candidates applied for SEBI Grade A 2020 be able to attend the Interview?

Ans. No, only the shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Candidates may opt for an interview either in Hindi or English. Weightage of marks obtained in Phase II will be 85%, while marks obtained in interview shall be given a weightage of 15%.

Ques. Will the application fees be refunded if I do not attend the exam?

Ans. No, the application fees will not be refunded under any circumstances. Even Application fee shall not be refunded to the candidates not shortlisted for Phase II and Interview.
