RTET, or Rajasthan Teachers Eligibility Test, is a state-level examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan annually for the recruitment of primary and upper primary teachers.

The RTET Level 1 paper is conducted for the recruitment of the Primary teachers while the RTET Level 2 paper is conducted for recruiting the Upper Primary teachers.

RTET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

RTET Age Limit: The minimum age limit to appear in the RTET examination is 18 years. There is no upper age limit.

RTET Eligibility for Level 1 (Classes 1st to 5th)

  • The candidate must have secured 50% marks in Senior Secondary or equivalent, and passed/appearing in the final year of 2nd-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

  • The candidate must have secured 50% marks in Senior Secondary or equivalent, and passed/appearing in the final year Bachelor of Elementary Education (Special Education).

OR

  • The candidate must have secured 50% marks in Senior Secondary or equivalent, and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education

OR

  • The candidate must have graduated and passed/appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • According to NCTE, graduates passed/appeared in the final year of B. Ed. can also apply for Primary Level.

RTET Eligibility for Level 1 (Classes 6th to 8th)

  • The candidate must have graduated and passed/appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

  • The candidate must have graduated with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education.

OR

  • The candidate must have secured 50% marks in Senior Secondary or its equivalent, and passed/appearing in the final year of 4 – year long Bachelor in Elementary Education

OR

  • The candidate must have secured 50% marks in Senior Secondary or its equivalent, and passed/appearing in the final year of 4-year BA/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed/ B.Sc. Ed.

OR

  • The candidate must have graduated with at least 50% marks, and passed/appearing in 1-year long B.Ed. (Special Education).

OR

  • The candidate must have graduated, and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year long Bachelor of Education.
RTET Application Process

RTET 2021 Application Process

The candidates can apply for the RTET exam online through the official website of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education. Candidates are required to fill in the required details, fill out their preferred exam centres and pay the application fee.

The Application fee for the RTET exam has been mentioned in the table below, according to the levels of the exam and categories of candidates:

The candidates shall be issued admit cards before the examination that they will be required to carry to their examination centres.

RTET 2021 Exam Syllabus

The RTET exam syllabus includes topics under the subjects of Mathematics, Science, Child Development, Social Science, language and grammar.

How to prepare?

  • Candidates must stay informed about the updates in exam patterns or new introductions to the syllabus.
  • They must study the topics thoroughly. They can also take help from experts, take up tutions or coaching classes to prepare for the exam.
  • Attempting previous year question papers and appearing in mock tests can be helpful in preparation.
  • Candidates must be acquainted with the general affairs, basic knowledge of history, culture, significant events etc.
  • While attempting the exam, the candidates must be able to manage their time properly.
RTET Admit Card

RTET Admit Card

The aspirants have to open the official website of RTET rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov. that is to download the RTET Admit Card. For log in the account and downloading the call letter, the candidates have to provide the form number/Challan number. Do not forget to carry the hall ticket or admit card to the exam hall. Otherwise you will not get permission to appear for the exam.

Steps to Download the RTET Admit Card

  • Go to the rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in and then the aspirants will get the direct link to download the admit card.
  • Now, you have to scroll down little to click the ‘RTET Admit Card’
  • Once you click the link, you will be redirected to a new tab. Then you should click ‘Print admit card’ present on the screen.
  • Now, the aspirants have to provide the login credentials like the form/ challan number, class level, name, date of birth and your mother’s name.
  • If you provide the details, you should click the ‘next’ button
  • Next you will be able to see the admit card, displaying on the screen. You can find that there will be multiple details presented in the admit card.
  • It is wise to print out the copy of your admit card for your future reference.

RTET 2021 Selection Process

  • Candidates need to secure 60% marks in the RTET exam in order to qualify. However, the cut-offs may depend on the number of applicants applying and job vacancies.
  • After qualifying the RTET examination, the candidates shall be invited to appear in a personal interview, based on which the final selection will be made.
  • The finally selected candidates are granted the RTET certificate, which has a validity of 3 years.
  • The selected candidates will be on a 2-year probation period.
  • The 3rd Grade teachers will only get basic salary during this period.
  • After confirmation of their appointment, the candidates will start getting the salary according to the 10th Level of the pay matrix.
RTET Results

RTET 2021 Cut Offs and Results

The examination authorities will announce the qualifying cut-offs and release the merit list of the candidates on the official website of the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan.

RTET 2021 Job Roles and Salary

  • The Level 1 teachers teach classes I to V.
  • The Level 2 teachers teach classes VI to VIII.
  • The teachers are promoted based on their experience and performance.
  • The salaries of the teachers of different levels have been tabulated:
