RITES Recruitment 2020: Number of Vacancies

The total number of vacancies for Graduate Engineers is 170 including reserved and unreserved ones. The company has reserved a certain number of vacancies for the candidates belonging to the reserved category as per the government’s norms. RITES Recruitment 2020: Eligibility criteria

Dynamic candidates who want to become a part of RITES must fulfill the eligibility criteria as required by the company as below:

Educational qualifications:

Civil Engineer BE/ B.Tech/ BSc (Engineering) Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of working experience in construction supervision.
Electrical Engineer BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum 2 years of working experience in one or more of Electrical engineering fields such as general
Mechanical Engineer BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Mechanical/Production/ Industrial/ Automobile Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of working experience in Quality Assurance/production/manufacturing/maintenance & operations.

All the candidates belonging to the General / EWS category and candidates belonging to the reserved category applying for unreserved posts must have at least 60% aggregate marks in their minimum qualifying degree and candidates applying for reserved posts must have at least 50% aggregate marks in their minimum qualifying degree.

The experience shall be calculated as on 1st November 2020.

Age limits:

All the candidates applying for the engineering posts must also fulfill the age limit as stated by RITES in its official notification. The candidate’s age should not be more than 40 years (as of 1st November 2020) i.e. candidates born on or after 1st November 1980 are eligible to apply for this post.

RITES Selection Process

RITES Recruitment 2020: Exam Pattern & Selection process

All the applications received shall be screened and shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test. Based on the performance of candidates in the written test, they will be called for a personal interview.

Final selection of candidates shall be done based on the following weightage parameters:

  • Experience - 5%
  • Written test - 60%
  • Interview - 35% (Technical proficiency - 25% & Personality communication - 10%)

The candidates will also have the option to choose the interview language i.e. Hindi / English.

The appointment of selected candidates is solely dependent upon their medical fitness fulfillment as per the company's policy.

RITES Admit Card

RITES Recruitment 2020: Admit Card

The notification of the Admit Card for the written test is not published yet by RITES, but it will soon be published on the website, a week or two before the written test.

The candidates are required to keep the self-attested copies of the following documents along with a copy of the application form with them during the time of personal interview:

  • 2 recent passport size color photographs
  • 12th Certificate (HSC) as the proof of date of birth.
  • Certificates / Marksheets of all the educational qualifications (Xth, XIIth / Diploma (all semesters), Graduation (all semesters))
  • Category Certificate in the prescribed format by Govt. of India (for reserved categories)
  • ID proof & Address proof (Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence, Aadhaar Card, etc)

How to Check RITES 2020 Results?

Follow these steps to check the RITES results:

  2. Select the result option under the career tab.

Ans. The basic pay of an Engineer on a contractual basis is Rs.19,860/- with other allowances, which comes out to be Rs.35,152/- per month for metro cities.

Ques. Can last year’s Engineering students with relevant experience apply for this job?

Ans. No, the notification mentions that the post requires a minimum of 2 years of experience post completion of a qualifying degree. That means you must have a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a relevant field after completion of Graduation to apply for this job.
