NTSE 2020 Admit Card for Stage-1 will be available in October 2020 while that for Stage-2 Admit Card is available on the official website from May 2021. The e-admit cards can be downloaded from the NCERT website. The document will have all the information about the venue, roll no., date and time of NTSE. 

There are 2 stages in NTSE 2020, wherein Stage 1 is scheduled in November 2020 and Stage 2 will be held on June 2020. Candidates who have successfully registered can download the hall ticket, available at least 21 days of the exam.

In case of any discrepancy in NTSE hall tickets, it should be brought to the notice of State Liaison/Chief Superintendent of state at the earliest. NTSE is conducted to search the talented candidates in subjects like Science, Social Science, Mathematics and General Studies. According to their performance, candidates are given scholarships.

NCERT will release the official schedule of NTSE 2020. Visit the official website i.e. www.ncert.nic.in to know more about the exam.

Steps to download NTSE 2020 Admit Card

Admit card for the Stage 1 exam will be available in the month of October 2018. The document will be available at the official website of NCERT or can contact their State’s Liaison officer to obtain their admit card. Stage 2 admit cards will be made available to only those student who qualifies for it. Students can follow the steps given below to download their Stage 1 admit cards:

  1. Visit the Directorate of Government Examinations/SCERT official website
  2. Go to Bulletin Tab/Quick links section.
  3. Click on link for NTSE hall tickets
  4. Candidates will have to log in with school code and password
  5. The admit card/hall ticket will be displayed
  6. Download and take a print out for future reference
  7. Candidates are requested to check their details on the admit card carefully
  8. Students will also get their admit card by post.
  9. If a student does not receive her/his admit card, they need to contact the State’s Liaison Officer.

Important Instructions regarding NTSE Admit Card

  • Once the registration is completed successfully, a Roll Number will be allotted to candidates.
  • NTSE call letters will be issued at the office of Chief Superintendent (the State Liaison Officer) of the concerned state or will be made available by post.
  • Admit cards should be obtained in advance so as to avoid any last minute rush.
  • Stage 2 NTSE admit cards will be mailed only to those candidates who qualify for the stage.
  • They will be directly mailed to the candidates via post by NCERT.
Note: From 2018 onwards, the document will be released on NCERT website as well.

NTSE admit card will mention important details about the candidate and the exam. Candidates should double check if all the information mentioned on the admit card is correct. In case of any mistake/discrepancy, it should be brought to the notice of the Liaison officer or to the office of the Chief Superintendent immediately. NTSE 2020 Exam Centers

  • This year, NTSE 2020 is expected to held across 36 exam centers.
  • Each state will have its own test center.
  • Candidates will be allowed to select the exam centers as per their preferences.
  • Once the test center is allotted, it will not be changed.
  • Students should choose their test centers carefully.

It is best to visit the exam center a few days before the exam to understand its location and whereabouts clearly. Students should make sure they reach the exam center at least an hour before the allotted time on the day of the exam. Given below is the list of exam centers.

Documents Required with NTSE Admit Card

Along with the document, students should carry the following documents/ids.

  • School Identity card
  • Dependent Identity card
  • Passport
  • Aadhar card

NTSE Exam Day Instructions

Following are the various guidelines that candidates must follow while appearing for NTSE 2020 exam.

  • Candidates will have to answer through the OMR sheets.
  • Please use HB/2B pencils or blue/black ball point pen for marking. Do not use gel/fountain pens.
  • Make sure to colour/darken the bubbles completely. Do not just put a tick or a cross mark in the bubble.
  • Reach the examination hall well before the allotted time/start of the exam (at least 1 hr. in advance).
  • Candidates will only be allowed to carry their admit card and pens and pencils and water bottles inside the exam hall.
  • Candidates are not permitted to use any electronic devices like calculators, mobile phones etc.
  • Any candidates found with illicit materials will be immediately disbarred from writing the exam.
  • To know more about/query about the Stage 1 (state-level) examination you may approach the Liaison officer of your

Hi Ajay, you can download the admit card from the official website of NCERT. However, till now, link has not been activated but it is expected that admit card link would be functional by the end of Oct, 2019.

Hi Rakesh, NTSE Admit Cards will be issued by the respective state’s Department of Education and will be made available through the website of the respective state.
