Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2020 will now be conducted in February 2021. UP Government has directed the Education Board (UPBEB) to conduct the exams in 2021 and the registration process will begin soon. Check exam date below. 

Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi, Secretary of the Examination Controller said that due to the COVID 19 pandemic situation it is not possible to conduct the UPTET 2020 within this year. The detailed notification will be released soon.

The Board will be requiring at least three months to conduct the UPTET 2020 exam, so it is not possible to hold the examination this year, stated Chaturvedi. Earlier, as the pandemic situation was settling down, it was expected the exam authority would release the UPTET 2020 exam Notification. 

The exam conducting body has sent a proposal to the exam authority but no decision has yet been made regarding the proposal.

UPTET 2020: Exam Pattern

UPTET exam is conducted each year to determine the eligibility of the candidates as Teachers for teaching classes 1 to 8 in the government schools of Uttar Pradesh. The exam will be held in offline mode for 150 minutes. Candidates have to attempt Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) for two papers.

UPTET exam is conducted in two papers, paper I is for those who wish to become teacher for classes 1 to 5 and Paper II is for candidates who wish to become teachers of classes 6 to 8.

The government of UP had recently issued appointment letters to more than 31,000 teachers after counselling process and verification of documents.
