UPSC Engineering Services & Geo-Scientist 2020 mains exam Put Off Until Further Notice

Union Public Service Commission ( UPSC) has deferred Engineering Services (Main) Examination, 2020 and Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination, 2020 until further notice.

Earlier, the UPSC CGS and Geologist 's main examinations were scheduled to take place on August 8, 2020 and have now been postponed.

The information available in this regard on the Commission 's website reads 'Engineering Services (Main) Examination, 2020 and Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination, 2020 scheduled on August 08 – 09, 2020 to be postponed until further notice.'

In the meantime, the Commission has provided an opportunity for candidates wishing to change their Civil Service (Preliminary) Examination Center for 2020 [including the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2020].

The notice mentions that 'In addition to the above, the option to change the Centers for Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2020 and the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2020 will also be made available to candidates.

Applications from candidates for change in their Centers will be considered against additional/enhanced capacity intimated by the Centers for Accommodation may be considered.

The notice further reads, 'The window of submission of the revised selection of the candidate centers will be operational in two phases, i.e. July 07 – 13, 2020 (06.00 p.m.) and July 20 – 24, 2020 (06.00 p.m.) on the Commission's official website.

Applicants are advised to visit the website and, if necessary, submit their choices to the Centers of Examination referred to above.
