Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the UPSC CDS (2) result on November 1 on its official website and the result shows that a girl from Odisha named Aditi Parida has scored the highest and topped the exam.
The Commission selected Aditi Parida for the course of Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) in Officers’ Training Academy (OTA). She set a milestone by becoming the first woman in Odisha to top the UPSC CDS (2) exam and getting selected for training for Army Officer. She is a graduate in Mass Communications from the prominent Symbiosis College, Pune.
Apart from educational excellence, she is also an emerging volleyball player and national level debate champion. Quoting her dreams, she said that she is from an army background as his father is a brigadier. Her dreams include serving the country with full dedication.
There are 241 candidates who cleared the UPSC CDS (2) 2019. These 241 candidates include 174 who opted for Officers Training Academy, Chennai, for short service Commission Course (NT) (for Men) whereas 67 are those who got selected for Officers Training Academy, Chennai, Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course.
Union Public Service Commission CDS is a government national-level exam conducted for recruiting and selecting potential candidates for various posts in the Army domains. These include the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. The recruitment drive consists of training sessions at various locations such as Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers' Training Academy (OTA).
