November 18, 2020: Supreme Court has requested the Uttar Pradesh Government to fill up the vacancies available for the post of Assistant Basic Teacher as per the Recruitment Result released in May 2020.

Uttar Pradesh Government has a total of 69,000 assistant basic teachers vacant posts available for the recruitment process. As per the court statement, the state will once again begin the recruitment selection process in the states for eligible and selected candidates. Petitions have been filed against the Uttar Pradesh Prathmik Shiksha Mitra Association that cut off the release for the recruitment of Assistant Basic Teacher in Uttar Pradesh. Which was later dismissed by the bench justice of U U Lalit.

Assistant Teacher Recruitment Examination 2019 qualifying marks were set to be 65 for general category candidates and 60 for general category candidates. Candidates were further selected on the basis of the merit list released and eligibility criteria.

Earlier, the Basic Education Board of Uttar Pradesh published the Uttar Pradesh Primary Teachers Results for 69000 posts on May 14, 2020.

As per the result release, more than 1 lakh 46 thousand candidates appeared for the examination. Cut off for the same was set to be 65% for general category candidates, making it a total of 97 marks out of a total of 150 marks.
