Education Minister of India, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank stated in a video conference that after the implementation of NEP 2020, there will be a progression in the intellectual development of the youth. NEP 2020 will enable youth to deal with major issues of a rapidly changing world. Students will be more mentally empowered and self-reliant. NEP 2020 will also pave the path for the development of digital India.

IIT ROORKEE is located in the Himalayan region with great biodiversity. There are regular cases of conflicts between humans against animals. The Education Minister hopes that NEP 2020 may come up with possible solutions to lessen human-animal conflicts in the Himalayan region. Minister also requested research scholars and students to showcase positive responsibility towards society and their major issues.
Inaugurations at IIT Roorkee
Education minister on Tuesday, at IIT Roorkee, inaugurated a sewage treatment plant and a new Lecture Hall Complex. The total area of the Sewage treatment plant (STP) 1800 sqm.STP is also facilitated with a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) for the treatment of wastewater.
