Indian Army recruitment rally will be conducted from January 18 to February 28, 2021 at AOC Centre, Secunderabad in Telangana. The recruitment is carried under Unit Headquarters Quota.

The recruitment is done for various vacant posts. These posts include Soldier Tech (AE), Soldier General Duty, Soldier Tradesmen, and Outstanding Sportsmen (Open Category). For the recruitment of outstanding sportsmen, trials will be held. The authority has announced that these trials will be carried on January 15, 2021 at Thapar Stadium, AOC Centre Secunderabad.

The recruitment of outstanding sportsmen will be done among the candidates who have represented in various sports like Boxing, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Hockey, Swimming, Wrestling, Athletics and Kabbadi. These sportsmen must present their certificates that must be 2 years old at most.

For Soldier General Duty, the age criteria for recruitment is 17.5 to 21 years of age. On the other hand, candidates must be 17.5 years to 23 years of age for the Soldier Tech post. The eligibility criteria for other posts are shown below.

Post Educational Criteria
Soldier General Duty Matriculation/SSC with 33 percent in each subject and 45 percent total.
Soldier Tech 10+2/ Intermediate Pass in Science with (PCM & English) with 50 percent marks total and 40 percent in each of the opted subjects.
Soldier Tradesman
  • 10th standard - Passed 10th Standard (33 percent)
  • 8th standard - passed 8th standard
Soldier Clk/SKT
  • 10+2/ Intermediate pass in any stream with 60 percent marks in total and at least 50% in each of the subjects.
  • Candidate must have scored at least 50% each in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in class 12th (10+2)

The recruitment is based on the common test in the format of objective-type questions. For every wrong answer, a half mark will be deducted. There is no surety of conducting the recruitment rally. Looking at the ongoing COVID crisis and cases, the authority might cancel the recruitment rally. The flexibility to forfeit the rally lies in the hands of Commandant AOC Centre reserves.
