Indian Air Force (IAF) is likely to issue the AFCAT 2021 examination notice soon in the last week of November. IAF conducts the AFCAT exam twice a year. AFCAT(1) 2021 is scheduled to be held in the month of February in 2021. Exam notice will be made available on the official website of IAF. Aspirants can download the official notice in PDF format. Accordingly, aspirants can apply for various technical and non-technical posts from the first week of December 2020.

AFCAT exam is conducted for recruitment on posts of class-1 gazetted officers in flying and ground duties. Recruitment is conducted for both technical and non-technical posts. It is a two-step examination which consists of an online test and an AFSB interview.

AFCAT 2021: Steps To Apply

Aspirants have to follow the modus operandi to successfully apply for AFCAT 2021 examination.

  • Visit the official website of IAF i.e. indianairforce.

  • Click under the banner “AFCAT 2021 Recruitment”

  • Aspirants will be redirected to the login page.
  • Aspirants need to enter login credentials or make a new login id with their mobile number and email id.
  • Aspirants have to now fill in basic necessary details as required in the application form.
  • After entering basic details, upload necessary documents i.e. Signature of the aspirant, the latest photograph of the aspirant, and Left-hand thumb impression. 
  • Aspirants need to recheck the form and accordingly click the submit button.
  • Now pay the application fees availing online facilities such as net banking / NEFT/ RGES.
  • After successful payment, a receipt will be generated. Download the receipt and retain it for further reference.

The aspirant’s application form will be successfully submitted and aspirants have to take a print out of the application form for further references. Aspirants have to pay a total sum of INR 250 for registration.

AFCAT 2021: Age Limit and Eligibility

Post Age Limit Educational Qualifications
Flying branch 20 to 24 years

Graduation in any stream
Commercial Pilot  26 Years
Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) 20 to 26 years.
