The Staff Selection Commission has released a notice regarding the link for changing the exam center on September 25, 2020. According to the notice, the candidates appearing for SSC JE, Stenographer, CGL and Selection Posts can update their choice of exam center on the official website from September 26-29, 2020. The following are the exams for which you can update the choice of exam center:

• Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2019 (Tier-II and III)
• Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination, 2019
• Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2019 (Paper-I)
• Selection Posts (Phase-VIII) Examination, 2020

The following are the steps to be abided by in order to update the exam center through the official website:

• Visit the official website of SSC- https://ssc.nic.in/
• Login to your account using the registration number and password.
• The button to change the exam center will be available on the “Candidate Dashboard” under the latest notification center.
• Update the exam center only if you need to after reading the relevant instructions carefully.

It is not mandatory to change your exam center. This facility is provided only for candidates who may have travel issues and needs a different exam center. Do note that the allotment will be done on a first come first serve basis, hence it is wiser to apply for the change at the earliest. In case your choice of exam center is already full, you will not get able to select it and have to go for the second-best choice available.
