The Staff Selection Commission released a notice on the tentative result dates for several exams including CGL tier-III 2018. Coincidentally this was a day after a massive protect was witnessed on twitter regarding delayed results and the #SpeakUpForSSCRailwayStudents was trending. This is about the unreasonable delay related to the declaration of RRB NTPC Group D exam dates and the CGL tier-III results. The results has been delayed by a year so far and the tentative date for releasing the result is October 4, 2020.
The Commission has been facing mass criticism from academic mentors and students alike for the major delay. Moreover, the official notice regarding the RRB NTPC Group D staff came out in March 2019 but the exam dates are not yet declared, much to the disappointment of 2.8 crores aspirants. The exam will be able to provide employment to 90000 candidates once conducted.
All these led to a massive protest on several social media platform including Twitter. Surprisingly, the commission chose to break their long silence on the exam results and released the notice with the tentative result dates for several exams like SSC JHT, JE and CGL- all of which are pending from 2018 and 2019. Every year, the Staff Selection Commission conducts several major exams for central government services to fill the vacancies with eligible candidates. Lakhs of aspirants apply for the exams every year. All the exams have an elaborate pattern of several levels or tiers and candidates have to qualify all of them to make it to the final merit list.
