The National Recruitment Agency got approved by the Union Cabinet and for now it is going to work in collaboration with SSC, RRB, and IBPS. The Prime Minister of the country has tweeted soon after welcoming the decision and feels this is the initiation of a “landmark reform” in the public sector recruitment process in the country.

In the tweet, the Prime Minister has said that this new agency will be a boon for the youngsters of the country and also asserted that it is going to eliminate the need for multiple exams and that in turn will save time and resources that were otherwise dedicated to this purpose. He also mentioned further that this new initiative will be increasing the level of transparency related to government exams and recruitment.

The NRA will be conducting the Common Eligibility Test for selecting eligible candidates for Group B and C government posts. There will be no limit to the number of times you can give this exam and the validity of the score will be up to 3 years. During this time, the candidate can apply for the relevant public sector jobs. The concept of the NRA was first declared during the Finance Budget 2020. Check here for details on the NRA approval
