The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Recruitment exam has been conducted on October 11, 2020 for the recruitment of group “A” and “B” candidates. The overall level of the exam was easy to moderate. Most of the questions were based on factual data rather than on conceptual ideas. We have shared the direct download link for all the sets of each paper in the exam. This will help the students to analyze the exam pattern better and prepare for the Mains accordingly. UPPSC 2020 Prelims- Question papers

There are two papers in the UPPSC Prelims exam- paper I and II. Furthermore, there are 4 sets of each paper and usually the same set of questions are jumbled to create the different sets.  The paper-I comprises of 150 questions and is of 200 marks with 2 hours duration. The paper-II has everything same as the paper-I except for lesser number of questions which is 100. The following are the download links for the question papers.

UPPSC 2020 Prelims- Exam Highlights and Analysis

  • This year, the UPPSC question paper was more focused on the static general knowledge rather than on conceptual understanding.
  • A significant portion of the questions in the history section was from Modern History.
  • UP-specific GK questions were comparatively less this year.
  • The current affairs questions this year were more from umbrella-topics like Ranking, Awards, Place of news etc.
  • Geography questions were more map-centric and the concept of location.
  • The GS Paper-II was based on questions from the previous year and only 33% marks were needed to qualify it.
