October 22, 2020: As per Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) latest announcement, the Screening Examination for the recruitment of junior scale officer (JSO) posts is scheduled to be conducted on November 21-22, 2020. 

The screening examination for the GPSC Recruitment of junior scale officer (JSO) posts will be conducted before the commencement of computer-based recruitment test (CBRT). 

Earlier, the examination for the recruitment process was scheduled to be held on March 29, 2020, but it was later postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown restrictions.

Referring to the Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC), GPSC chairman Jose Manuel Noronha said, “In order to expedite the recruitment, the commission has decided to conduct a screening examination on November 21 and 22 to determine candidates qualified to take the main CBRT”.

Keeping in mind the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown restrictions, the Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) decided to conduct a screening examination prior to JSO CBRT Exam, GPSC chairman Jose Manuel Noronha added.

As per the commission’s report, this year, a total of 3600 applicants applied for the recruitment of junior scale officer (JSO) posts. The repeat examination for the recruitment process is scheduled to be held on November 28.

For candidates who failed to pass the recruitment examination in the first attempt, candidates with only five percent less than qualified marks will be eligible to sit on the repeat examination. 

A list of candidates who are eligible to sit in the CBRT Main examination is now available at the official website of GPSC, GPSC chairman added. 

GPSC JSO Recruitment Exam is conducted by the Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) on yearly basis for the recruitment of the junior scale officer (JSO) posts. The recruitment process takes place on three different levels; Prelims examination, Mains Examinations, and Medical Test.

GPSC JSO Recruitment is based on candidates’ ranks achieved in the qualifying examination. After the selection, candidates are further called for a recruitment process followed by a document verification process. 

Admit card of the GPSC JSO Recruitment Screening and Written Exam will be available before the examination on the official website of Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC).
