The PPSC has also started the Application Process for the Mains exam on their website. All the selected candidates can apply before March 22, 2021.
In the new result, the Commission has clarified that the Blind and Low Vision under the Person with Disability category is reserved for women, thus the male candidates would be considered in the basic category. Amongst them, 10 candidates have not been selected for the Mains Exam as they fail to meet the required minimum qualifying marks.
Furthermore, due to the rejection of the 10 male candidates from the category, 10 additional female candidates have been chosen under the Persons with Disability (Blind and Low Vision Category) in provision for the Mains Exam. Even the cut-off for the category has been revised to 98.5.
Upon further scrutiny in the case of Sports Persons Punjab Category, the candidates who were made provisionally eligible have been made eligible for the Sports Category under the submitted sports gradation certificates issued by the Director Sports, Punjab.
The Commission had also received a number of requests from some women candidates who had inadvertently filled their gender as ‘Male’ in the application form. As a result of which, they had not been shortlisted for the posts reserved for women. However, after the consideration of their representation, the commission has decided to accept them for their respective categories.
