The Bihar Public Service Commission has declared 86 vacancies for the post of Lecturers and Professors. According to the notice, there are 28 vacancies for Lecturer in Humanity (English), 40 vacancies for a professor in Civil Engineering, and 18 vacancies for Professor in Electronics and Communication. The online registration for the posts has started from September 4, 2020 and will continue till October 5, 2020. The application form is available on the BPSC website. The candidates who will qualify for the posts are going to be recruited for the Government Polytechnic or Government Women Polytechnic College and government Engineering Colleges. The salary for the post of lecturer starts from INR 56,100 and for the professor, the starting salary is INR 1, 44,200 per month.

BPSC will scrutinize the application form and the academic qualification of the candidate to shortlist the candidates. Those who have applied for the position of Lecturer will have to attend a qualifying exam of 40 marks, relevant to the subject. Those who secure the marks required will be called for the interview, which carries 15 marks. Candidates with previous work experience in the same post will have an advantage. First-class in the relevant subject or equivalent in Bachelor’s and Master’s Level will be considered as the basic educational qualification required for the post of lecturer.
For the position of Professor, the academic performance, research publications will be considered first and then their previous work experience. Minimum 10 years of work experience is required along with published 06 level of research while they were Associate Professor.
