The Sub-Inspector (UB) Exam of Assam Police which was scheduled for September 20, 2020 but has been cancelled suddenly due to leaked question papers. The new date for the exam will be announced shortly and expected in the upcoming month. The decision to cancel the exam was taken by State Level Police Recruitment Board after the question paper got leaked and distributed on a whatsapp group. The Written exam was to be conducted for recruiting eligible candidates to fill up 541 vacancies and was to be held at 154 centers across the various districts of Assam. However, several aspirants received the question paper through a whatsapp group and a FIR was filed by CID in Assam. Investigations are ongoing to take legal actions against the culprits.

The notification of the exam was released on the official website of Assam Police on April 11, 2018 and an addendum was issued eventually in November 6, 2019. Also, the admit card for the exam had already been issued on September 3, 2020. For further information on the new exam dates, check the official website frequently. The exam comprises of a written test followed by a physical efficiency test or PET and Computer Proficiency Test or CPT. Those who qualify the written exam will be shortlisted for the PET and CPT test. After qualifying all the rounds, the final merit list will be accordingly prepared.
