Indian Railways Level 1 Recruitment: On October 22, 2020, the Indian Railways published an official release according to which 20% vacancies are reserved for apprentices in RRB Level-1 Recruitment 2020. 

There are a total of 1,03,769 vacancies available for the recruitment process, out of which 20,734 seats are reserved for apprentices. As per the official release of Indian Railways, more than 2.04 crore candidates applied for the RRB Level-1 Recruitment Process of 2020

According to the Apprentice Act in 2016, Indian Railways has a total of 20,734 (20%) vacancies reserved for apprentices out of 1,03,769 available vacancies for RRB Level-1 Recruitment 2020. 

In the official release, Indian Railways stated that all eligible candidates of the country can apply for the RRB Level-1 Recruitment process of 2020. Recruitment without any competition is not permitted. 

Indian Railways provides training for apprentices to help in their establishment. The trained apprentices of Indian Railways now have reserved seats for the recruitment process.

According to the official release, the Indian Railways added that, As per the Apprentice Act of 2016, employees of Indian railways have to make an appointment policy for the Trained Act Apprentices. 

Indian Railways added in their release, “As per Section 22 (i) of Act Apprentices Act, 1961 amended on December 22, 2014, provides that, ‘Every employer shall formulate its own policy for recruiting any apprentice who has completed the period of apprenticeship training in his establishment".

In 2018, the Indian Railways recruited a total of 1288 Trained Apprentices during the RBB Level 1 recruitment process, stated railways.

Indian Railways RRB issued three Centralized Employment Notifications(CEN) such as CEN 01/2019 for NTPC categories, CEN 03/2019 for Isolated and ministerial categories, and RRC-01/2019 for Level-1 categories. 

As per the various categories of staff by Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), there are a total of 1.4 lakh vacancies available under recruitment and more than 2.40 crore candidates have applied for the same from around the country.
