DGP of Haryana on January 22, 2017, announced that Haryana Government will be recruiting more than 4500 men and 1000 women personnel in the Haryana Police. The recruitment process will begin from february. The recruitment will for the post of Constable and Sub-inspector of the Haryana Police.

From this year, Haryana government will not conduct any personal interview for the recruitment, applicants will be recruited on the basis of merit.

The application form for the Haryana recruitment process will be released next month. Candidates who want to apply for the post of constable and sub-inspector in the Haryana Police can apply for the examination on the official website of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission. Information regarding the application form, admit card, selection procedure can be obtained from the website.

Notification Details

Haryana Police Application form is to be released in the month of February 2018(Tentative). As per DGP of Haryana Police, the official notification regarding the new recruitment will be available within 10-15 Days on the official website www.hssc.gov.in


There are a total of 5916 vacancies for the post of Sub-inspector and Constable. Out of 5916 posts, 416 vacancies are for the post of Sub-inspector and 5500 are for the post of Constable in the Haryana Police. 

There are total 4850 vacancies for male candidates and 1066 post for female candidates

Who can Apply?

There are 5916 vacancies in the Haryana Police, 4850 are for men and 1066 for women candidates. If you want to apply for these post, you can check the eligibility criteria before applying.

For the post of the Constable, candidates must be 18 to 25 years of age and must have passed 12th standard, while, candidates between 20 to 37 years of age and with a graduation degree can apply for the post of Sub-inspector.

Along with this, there are some physical standards which candidates have to fulfil. For male candidates, the height of 170 cm(168cm for reserved category) is compulsory, candidates should also have the chest of 83 cm(Unexpanded) to 87 cm (with expanded)(81 cm to 85 cm for reserved category).

For female candidates, a height of 158 cm(156 cm for reserved category) is compulsory.

Selection Procedure

Candidates are selected for 5916 vacancies on the basis of the performance in the various rounds which include Written Test, Physical Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency Test, and Document Verification. An Applicants has to clear those rounds if they want to get selected for the Recruitment. 

From this year, Haryana government has decided not to conduct any personal interview for the selection of Constable and Sub-inspector post in Haryana Police.
