January 11, 2021: Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) released the revised schedule for the MPSC 2021 Prelims phase on its official website. The Commission earlier released the date for the MPSC Prelims 2020 as of October 11. As per the revised schedule, the exam is scheduled to be conducted on March 14, 2021 (Sunday). The recruitment will take place to recruit candidates for the departments including Block Development Officer (BDO), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Deputy Collector, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies, Superintendent, State Excise Department, and Tahsildar. The MPSC Prelims paper is a screening-type exam. The marks scored in the paper are not taken into account for the final result. This helps in qualifying for the next round i.e., the Mains stage.
