New guidelines for HPTET 2020

The following are the new rules which all the exam centers and the staffs should follow to minimize the risks associated with COVID-19 and execute the exam successfully:

  • It is mandatory that the Centre Co-ordinator is present during the exam. Usually the chosen center co-ordinator is the principle of the institute. If he/she is unable to be present for some reason, the next senior-most staff is going to be the appointed Centre Co-ordinator.
  • Wearing a mask is compulsory for everyone including the teachers, staffs and the candidates at the exam-center.
  • Social distancing must be practices within the exam hall and as per the government rules, a minimum of 1meter distance should be maintained between the candidates, in terms of seating arrangements.
  • The school and center authorities will be provided with additional funds for sanitization of the exam centers and also for making arrangements for hand sanitizers.
  • All the arrangements like seating sequence, writing roll number on the desk, classroom doors, and planning the entire seating order must be completed a day before the exam.
  • The question papers for the exam will be handed over to the center coordinator who must ensure that it is kept locked away in a secured room in a dual-lock almirah.
  • The center co-ordinator should reach the exam venue at least 1.5 hours before the commencement of the exam and verify whether all these arrangements have been thoroughly executed.
  • The boxes of question booklets can be opened 30 minutes before the exam to tally whether the exact number of booklets are there.

HPTET exam is conducted to recruit teachers for primary and secondary level education in the government schools and conducted every year to recruit eligible candidates.
