Salary Structure of SBI Clerk 2020

For an individual, the initial Compensation Salary is INR 11,765. He/shewill also receive an increment of INR 655 year after year in addition to the Basic Pay. Medical Allowance

The Bank gives SBI workers 100 percent of medical advantages. In event of injury, sickness, or hospitalization, their families are also given the advantage of 75 percent medical reimbursement.

Dearness Allowance

The Dearness Allowance is updated in the months of February, May, August, and November on a quarterly basis. It is premised on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), as the Government of India has declared.

Travel Allowance

Leave Policy

SBI's leave-policy is quite flexible. This offers SBI staff 33 days of privilege leaves and 12 days of casual leaves. If any woman is pregnant, she will have the privilege of using 2 years of leave. A single parent or elderly parents can also take 2 years of sabbatical leave. Such maternal or paternal leave are restricted to casual and privilege leaves, respectively. Suppose an employee does not wish to take privilege leaves then he/she can turn their amount of leaves into cash in that situation.

House Rent Allowance

The House Rent Allowance is dependent on the location of posting. Employees posted in metro cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, and others, will get better HRA compared to those posted in other cities. Junior Agricultural Associates would be qualified to access an additional amount of INR 490 per month, called Special Pay, calculated for DA, HRA and pension benefits. SBI Clerk Promotions 2020

SBI conducts internal written exams which Clerks are required to pass if they wish to be promoted.

An SBI Clerk is promoted in two ways:

In-cadre Promotion

  • In-cadre promotion is stated to be premised on home postings. It is a time-bound promotion.
  • Selected candidates for the in-cadre promotion will receive a special INR 1,800 allowance in addition to the total salary. An Assistant becomes a Senior Assistant following 10 years of service.
  • An Assistant becomes a Special Assistant Officer following 20 years of service. The Special Assistant Officer will receive INR 2,500 as Special Allowance.
  • The Special Assistant Officer will become a Senior Special Assistant after 30 years of service, and he will receive a special allowance of INR 3,500.

Promotion to an Officer Cadre

  • To be a Trainee Officer, an assistant needs certification from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) for the JAIIB and CAIIB Exams, besides passing the internal written examination and personal interview.
  • Upon working as an SBI clerk for six years, they will be qualified to answer an internal written exam to be elevated to the position of a Trainee Officer. A Trainee Officer is similar to a Probationary Officer (PO).
  • The probationary period for an SBI PO lasts 2 years. They would be granted a rank of JMGS-I (Junior Management Grade Scale-I).
  • Upon the completion of two years as a PO, the position of the Middle Management Grade Scale-II will be granted.
  • Any employee that directly wants a PO post should give the SBI PO Exam.

SBI Clerk Transfer Policy 2020

  • According to the notification, for the first 5 years of service, SBI Clerk Junior Associates are not eligible for transfers outside the State.
  • A special recruitment drive for Kashmir Valley, Tura, and Ladakh is reserved for candidates who have 8 years of service.
