The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially declared the revised date for the RBI Assistant 2019 Mains online examination. According to the notice issued, now RBI Assistant 2019 Mains examination will be conducted on Sunday, November 22, 2020. Due to COVID-19 pandemic exam is rescheduled.
Earlier RBI Assistant 2019 Mains online examination was scheduled on March 29, 2020. Though there are no further changes were made in eligibility criteria and other regulations concerned with RBI Assistant examination.
RBI Assistant preliminary examination was conducted on February 14 and 15, 2020. Respectively, the results were announced on March 17, 2020.
Opportunity to change exam centres
RBI has also eased aspirants in choosing their exam centres due to Lockdown restrictions. Now aspirants can revise their exam centres. Accordingly, the portal will be opened to facilitate candidates in choosing their nearest exam centres.
As official notice states “In view of the requests received from the candidates for change in the centre for the Main Examination due to the lockdown restrictions, the Bank has decided to allow the candidates to change the centre of Main Examination. A link for the centre change will be made available shortly on our website.”
About RBI Assistant Exam 2020
RBI Assistant Exam 2020 is being held in three phases (Prelims + Mains + Language Proficiency Test (LPT)). Students are qualified for Mains based on their merit in Preliminary examination. Provisionally shortlisted aspirants from the main on-line examination will have to sit for language proficiency test (LPT).

All the candidates must qualify these three rounds to ensure final selection to the post of Assistant in Reserve Bank of India. Total of 926 vacancies of Assistants will be filled through this three-step examination in 2020.
