January 6, 2021: AFCAT Course 2021 will begin on January 31, 2021, for registered candidates at Indian Air Force Academy. Selected candidates are requested to report at their allotted course academy from January 27, 2021, to January 29, 2021.
Registered applicants must note that two reception counters will be available for pickup; one at Hyderabad Airport and the other will be at Secunderabad Railway Station for trainee candidates.
Additionally, all candidates are requested to share their traveling details on TWA AFA phone number: 9550330638 to make all the arrangements to pick up the candidate.
Candidates can travel to Secunderabad through any mode of Travel. Candidates will get the Rail fare of AC III. Candidates are also authorized for Road Mileage Allowance as acceptable under the rules of Grade II Officers.
Aspirants will have to pay their travel expenses and they will get their entitled amount at AFA Hyderabad. All the candidates traveling from either train or bus or flight are allowed to claim for a refund.
A Temporary Reception Centre will be established for the applicants at the exit gate of Hyderabad Airport and Secunderabad Railway Station from 09:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The Reception Centre will manage all the Travel Arrangements of the candidate.
Applicants are requested to report as per the time mentioned in the Call Letter. Any sort of late reporting without any proper cause will not be bearable. Additionally, candidates will have to arrange on their own if they make an early arrival.

Flying & Technical Branch candidates will have to go through the training of 74 Weeks whereas, Non-Technical Branches candidates will have to go through the training period of 52 Weeks.
Physical Fitness and Training Level Standards are very high at AFA, and failure to achieve the required level will result in the termination of candidates from AFA Training.
Candidates will have to keep themselves physically fit to participate in various outdoor sports such as Athletics, Cross Country, and other games. Here is the list of the minimum level standard expected at AFA.

Accommodation: Suitable Place will arrange for the Candidates to stay for the training period. Accommodation for the Candidates joining for Flying or Ground Duty Officer Courses will be free of cost.
Candidates Joining under Training Flying Officers will have to pay the rent as per Government Rates. No Permission will be granted to live outside the Air Force Academy.
Mess: Free Mess Service will be provided to the Candidates at AFA.
Medical Fitness: Free Medical Facilities and Medical Certificate will be provided to the candidates during the Training Period at AFA.
Candidates have to maintain their Medical Fitness during the period of Training. Candidates will have to pass a Medical Examination as soon as they arrive at AFA.
Pocket Allowance Instructions: Candidates are requested to carry an Amount of Rs.10,000 as Pocket Allowance to meet their all initial requirements.
