The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducts the AFCAT exam for the recruitment of Commissioned Officers in the Flying and Ground (Technical and Non-Technical) branches twice a year. The AFCAT 1 for 2021 was conducted in February this year and the results have just come out. 

Now, all the interested candidates are awaiting the announcement of the second enrollment of the AFCAT 2021 exam.

Even though the Indian Air Force has not made any official declaration regarding the dates of IAF AFCAT 2 but it can be said, based on previous years, that the notification can be expected in June 2021.

It is generally seen that the Application Process starts with the release of the application process. Thus, it is expected to be conducted in June-July 2021, and the exam can be scheduled tentatively in August 2021. 

During the AFCAT 1 2021, the students were given a month for the registration and application processes. Thus, it can be expected that with the release of notification in June sometime, the application process will conclude in either June or July. 

The selection process of AFCAT includes three stages- written examination, psychological test, and medical examination. The written exam is conducted online in all the major cities across the country. 

The written exam consists of 100 MCQ-type questions. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours and there is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer. 

Any candidate between the age of 20-24 years for Flying Branch and 20-26 years for Ground Branch who has passed his/ her 12th with Science subjects and at least 50% can apply for the exam.

The notifications and updates about the AFCAT exam are released on the official website of the Indian Air Force thus, the interested candidates must keep an eye out on the site to be updated about it.
